No Public Dollars for Lincoln Yards!
Tell your Alderperson - no public dollars for Sterling Bay's $5 billion luxury development on Chicago’s affluent near north side.
Developer Sterling Bay is seeking $1 billion in taxpayer money to build a massive luxury development on Chicago’s affluent near northside.
Mayor Emanuel thinks that handouts to giant corporations will result in prosperity trickling down to everybody. But we know it doesn’t work that way. Taking away resources from our communities and giving them to developers for projects like Lincoln Yards only increases the economic and racial divides in our city.
If we come together across our neighborhoods and communities we can force our elected officials to invest in the things we need such as mental health services, jobs, and great public schools that will result in an improved quality of life of neighborhood residents and reduced violence.
Please join us in telling City Council to reject the failed economic policies of the Mayor that are pushing us out of the city and say no to any public dollars for the Lincoln Yards development.
